CLEVELAND — A mother in Cleveland told police that her 2-year-old son took a handgun from her purse and shot himself in the arm on Wednesday, according to a police report.
Police responded to the Cleveland Clinic on Euclid Avenue after the child was taken there by a private vehicle, the report states.
The shooting happened in the 2200 block of East 69th Street.
The Cleveland police’s child abuse unit is investigating.
