CLEVELAND — Three men have pleaded guilty to the murder of a Cleveland beverage store owner during a robbery last year.
On Feb. 5, 2019, police responded to an armed robbery and shooting at a beverage store near Lakeview Road and Durant Avenue.
The victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Keyshawn Smith, 19, Andre McKelvey, 19, and Robert McKelvey Jr., 22, were arrested and pleaded guilty to the killing.
They were also responsible for multiple armed robberies across Cuyahoga County.
Smith pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.
Both McKelvey's pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery.
Smith and Andre McKelvey will be sentenced April 2.
Robert McKelvey Jr. will be sentenced May 11.
