3 people shot at a gas station on Cleveland's East Side

CLEVELAND — Authorities are investigating a shooting that happened at a gas station on Cleveland's East Side early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened in the 5300 block of Woodland Avenue around 3 a.m.

Three people were injured in the shooting, authorities said.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg and mouth and is in serious condition. A 24-year-old man was shot in the hip and groin and is in critical condition. A 36-year-old woman was shot in both legs and is in stable condition, police said.

According to a Cleveland police report, the female victim was waiting in line for a sandwich when two individuals started arguing. One of the men pulled a gun out and started shooting. After she was shot, the woman was dragged to the gas station's back hall and away from the scene by an unknown person.

The report states that the 24-year-old victim was wanted by the Cleveland police's homicide unit.

All three were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment, authorities said.
