Police were called to the intersection of E. 55th St. and Blanche Ave. Thursday evening when a man was found down in the street with a gunshot wound.
The 34-year-old victim was found around 5:30 p.m. with head trauma and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the victim had a pacemaker.
The cause of death has not been determined. The Homicide Unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office were called to the scene and to the hospital to investigate.
