4 more RTA employees test positive for COVID-19

CLEVELAND — Four more Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

This brings the number of RTA employees who have tested positive recently to six for a total of 21 employees since the pandemic began, according to RTA. Eleven employees have fully recovered.

The four employees are:

  • A maintenance worker from Triskett District. Their last day of work was on June 19.
  • A rail equipment mechanic. Their last day of work was on June 23.
  • A bus operator from the Triskett District. Their last day of work was on June 25.
  • A paratransit operator. Their last day of work was on June 28.

Work areas and vehicles where the employees worked have been sanitized. RTA said it has notified other employees who may have been in contact with the infected workers.
