CLEVELAND — Two employees who work at the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to RTA officials, the first employee tested positive for the virus on June 22. The last date that person worked was on June 20. The employee works in the Track Department.

The second employee, who works at the main office building, last worked on June 24. RTA officials said the employee didn’t show definite symptoms but did test positive.

“Following our standard protocol, the work areas of each employee were cleaned and thoroughly disinfected,” RTA stated. “In the case of both employees, other staff members who may have been in contact with this employee were notified.”

A total of 17 RTA employees have tested positive for coronavirus. Eleven of those individuals have recovered and returned to work.
