Authorities are investigating the death of a 58 year old who was fatally shot on Cleveland's west side on Sunday morning.
The victim was identified as Maurice Wells, 58, of Cleveland.
The shooting happened near the 8700 block of Detroit Avenue. Police responded to the area after receiving reports of a possible body on the ground. When officers arrived they found the victim in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to the stomach. Wells was pronounced dead on scene, according to the authorities.
Police didn't say if there any known suspects or if anyone has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
