CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department is investigating multiple shootings that happened across the city Friday night and Saturday morning.
The first shooting happened around 6 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 25th Street. Authorities say a 39-year-old man was shot in the leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital by a private car.
The second shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the 3200 block of Meyer Avenue, police said. A 35-year-old man was shot in the back. The man was transported by EMS.
The next shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the 3600 block of West 32nd Street. Police said that the victim, a 27-year-old man, was shot in the back of his leg. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS.
Another shooting happened around the same time near Woodland Avenue and Woodhill Road. According to authorities, the 28-year-old victim was shot in the arm and back. He was taken to a nearby hospital by a private car.
On Saturday around 2 a.m., a man, age unknown, was shot in the hands in the 3500 block of West 50th Street. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center by a private auto for treatment.
Just an hour later, police said that a 23-year-old man was shot in the elbow near Colgate and Lawn avenues.
The shootings remain under investigation.
No arrests have been announced.
