61-year-old man injured in carjacking in Cleveland

Cleveland police are investigating a reported carjacking Saturday evening that left a 61-year-old man with a broken hand.

The incident happened after 6:00 p.m. Saturday at a gas station in the 2400 block of Dennison.

The victim’s wife tells News 5 her husband was vacuuming his car when someone came up behind him and got inside the vehicle.

 

As the suspect was driving away, the victim fell down and his hand was run over, the victim’s wife said. The victim did not suffer any other injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Gas station employees said the incident was captured on surveillance video.

The stolen vehicle is described as a maroon 2014 Chevy Cruze with license plate FXS 6856. If you have any information please contact Cleveland police.
