Cleveland police are investigating after a man was run over and killed on the city's east side.
It happened late Saturday night in the 3800 block of East 52nd street.
Police say the victim, who has since been identified by neighbors as Nathaniel Primous, was seen running from his house with two suspects. The 68-year-old then got into his SUV and tried to pull away, but hit a parked car instead. At that point, he got out of the SUV and was ran over by the suspect's vehicle.
"I kept on telling him 'Mr. Nate they're coming, they're coming. They're going to come help you.' He was cold and shaking," said neighbor Cyndi Snyder.
Snyder said it was shocking to witness and couldn't believe one of the suspects got into Primous' SUV and drove off after that. The vehicle is still missing.
"How would you feel if someone did that to your family member and you just drive off and leave them? Why? Senseless," said Snyder.
Police haven't released any details about the suspects, but say the victim's SUV is described as a 2008 Silver Ford Escape with license plate #GIS2721.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cleveland Police Department.
