CLEVELAND — A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized after he received a gunshot wound to the head from a possible stray bullet, Cleveland police said Wednesday.
Officers responded at around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital for a boy with a gunshot wound.
The child was taken by his family to the hospital with a head injury. Police said the original incident happened in the 10100 block of Parkview Avenue in Cleveland's Woodland Hills neighborhood.
Upon further examination, it was determined the boy was shot in the head from what police said was a possible stray bullet.
This incident remains under investigation. The 7-year-old boy remains hospitalized.
