CLEVELAND — The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority said on Thursday that eight more of its employees have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to RTA, the employees as follows:
- From the Hayden District, two operators
- From the Central Bus Facility, one equipment engineer
- From the Main Office Building, two administrators
- From the Rail District, one track maintainer
- From the Triskett District, one hostler
- From the Tower City Customer Service Center, one customer service representative
"Following our standard protocol, work areas, equipment and other areas of potential exposure were cleaned and disinfected. Additionally, other staff members who had been in contact with the employees were immediately notified," RTA said.
A total of 134 RTA employees have tested positive for coronavirus since the pandemic began, RTA said. Of those, 114 have recovered and returned to work.
