Two armed robberies committed by women at Cleveland Rite Aid stores two days apart share similar tactics.

On Saturday, April 21, Cleveland police responded to the Rite Aid at 5471 Superior Avenue after the cashier said the store was robbed by a woman with a gun. The woman walked up to the register with an iced tea, then pulled a gun from her purse and demanded the money in the drawer and some cigarettes, according to police.

On Tuesday, police say the Rite Aid at 10502 Saint Clair Avenue was robbed two days later. The two drug stores are less than three miles apart.

The cashier told police she was robbed by a woman with a gun. The suspect came up to the counter with a bottle of oven cleaner and said she would also like a pack of cigarettes, according to the police report. Next, the victim told police the woman pulled a gun from her purse and told the cashier to give her another pack of cigarettes and the money in the register. The suspect took the money and the cigarettes, left the store and walked across the street to Glenville Plaza.

The victim noted the woman was "so casual" about the incident, according to the police report.

The suspect in the first incident was described as a black woman between 20- and 30-years-old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 130 pounds with a medium complexion. She was wearing a black jacket with writing on the back, a red shirt and light blue jeans at the time.

The second suspect was described as a skinny woman with short hair and about 40 to 50 years old. She was wearing a black shirt, black mesh shorts or a skirt, and a baseball hat with what appeared to be a "R" and a backwards "R" in white lettering.
