On Saturday, April 21, Cleveland police responded to the Rite Aid at 5471 Superior Avenue after the cashier said the store was robbed by a woman with a gun.

Surveillance video shows the suspect walked up to the counter as if to purchase an iced tea. She can be seen rummaging around in her purse until she shows a handgun. The cashier told police the suspect pointed the gun at her and said, "Give me the money. Give me some cigarettes, too."

The cashier said the suspect ordered her to put the cash (about $200), cigarettes and the iced tea in a bag. She told police she couldn't believe she was robbed by a woman.

After leaving the store, police said the suspect got into the passenger side of an unknown car and drove away. Police believe the car went north on E. 55th Street.

The suspect was described as a black woman between 20- and 30-years-old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 130 pounds with a medium complexion. She was wearing a black jacket with writing on the back, a red shirt and light blue jeans.
