An apartment complex in Ohio City had to be evacuated because of a carbon monoxide leak.

The incident happened after 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Dexter Apartments on Franklin Boulevard.

Firefighters were on scene for more than two hours and fans were used to clear the building.

The source of the leak appeared to have been a gas-powered power washer they were using in the indoor parking area.

No one was transported to the hospital.

Everyone was able to safely return to their apartments early Wednesday morning.
