CLEVELAND — “Blessing boxes” are popping up in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood as a way to help those in need by offering everything from perishable foods to toiletries.
Councilman Basheer Jones and Reach City Church in the Hough neighborhood partnered to make and distribute these boxes at several intersections.
The way it works is anyone can fill the boxes with items, everything from toiletries to non-perishable food.

"Sometimes, the little things we do can be huge blessings for those in need,” said Jones. “This program will help the less fortunate among us and give opportunities to those who are able to donate.”
These boxes are at the following locations:
- Martin Luther King Jr. High School on the Hough Avenue side of East 71st Street.
- East 79th Street and Addison
