Investigators believe three recent break-ins at a Rocky River liquor store could be connected with similar cases in three other counties.

In each case, the crooks shattered the front door of Minotti's Wine and Liquor in Rocky River, breaking in at night, and making off with cigarettes and booze.

"It's worse than a punch in the gut," said Joe Minotti, owner of the store. "It gets frustrating the more it happens."

In the most recent break-in, police said four men were seen fleeing in a dark blue Jeep with a temporary license plate.

On Tuesday, Rocky River police were back at Minotti's reviewing surveillance video.

"I'm so sick of it," said Minotti. "It's three times, it's just a mess. It's a nightmare. It takes everything out of you."

Minotti said the crooks seem to have a plan, getting in and out of the store quickly and ignoring neighboring businesses at the River Square shopping plaza.

Police said their investigation continues.
