CLEVELAND — The Renee Jones Empowerment Center, an organization that is dedicated to helping human trafficking victims, officially opened its new location.
The grand opening ceremony, that included a ribbon cutting, took place on Saturday.
The center moved from a tiny storefront in Gordon Square to a much larger space on West 25th Street in Cleveland. It will allow the center to serve more people and offer more programs for those in need.
The new center will offer GED classes, programs and therapies.
“After such a heinous crime, that’s human trafficking, people are so broken, so we wanted to create a beautiful space,” said Renee Jones, President & CEO, Renee Jones Empowerment Center.
The new center welcomes visitors with a Wall of Empowerment at the front entrance. It's a wall filled with quotes to give the those who walk through the door hope, Jones explained.
The Renee Jones Empowerment Center is now located at 3764 West 25th St. in Cleveland's Brooklyn Centre neighborhood.
