City of Cleveland restricts traffic for Obama appearance

Ahead of President Barack Obama's visit to the city of Cleveland, police are enacting traffic restrictions this weekend. 

The following restrictions begin at 8 p.m. on Thursday and end at 11 a.m. on Friday:

  • Closure of Lakeside Avenue at Ontario Street and West Mall Drive. (Local through traffic will be permitted)
     
  • Closure of West Mall Drive at Lakeside Avenue 

On Friday at 10 a.m. the following restrictions will begin at 10 a.m. and last through the end of the event around 12:30 p.m. 

  • North Marginal Road at East 9th Street: No traffic will be permitted on North Marginal for the duration of the event. 
     
  • Closure of North Marginal Road at East 26th Street: Airport access only
     
  • Closure of westbound exit ramp on Route 2 to East 9th Stree
