It all started with a one-star review for a restaurant on Facebook and then, it escalated beyond what anyone ever thought.
Emma White owns The Black Market, a heavy metal record shop on W. 54th and Detroit Ave in Cleveland.
A month ago, she said she left a one-star review on Facebook for a Brook Park restaurant.
"Simply because -- I've never actually been there -- but the way he was speaking to other customers on his page was really disturbing to me," White said.
The man, who booked bands for Fastbacks BBQ and Grill on Brookpark Rd. according to the owner, retaliated by leaving a one-star review on White's business page and she thought that was that.
It wasn't.
After Fastbacks received more negative reviews by the man believed were connected to White, the man sent her a string of harassing messages through Facebook Tuesday morning that she took screenshots of and saved.
One of those messages reads, "Don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house," and "Someone said they lost windows tonight. Good, that's only the start of this war."
Then -- she came to work to find three large rocks thrown through the windows of her storefront.
"It's a shame he's a grown man and he's acting like that," White said, adding that police said since there was no surveillance video and no witnesses, there is no proof the man was behind the damages.
newsnet5.com reached out to the man for his side of the story, but did not hear back. newsnet5.com is not naming him because he has not been charged with any crime.
The owner of Fastbacks said he was fired last week and has no association with her bar anymore.
She added that the man reportedly got defensive when the bar began getting bad reviews and phoned in bomb threats because they stopped booking heavy metal bands.
