Cleveland homicide unit investigating after man sustains injuries to head and face, police say

CLEVELAND — A man in his 40s has died after sustaining injuries to his head and face at a home on Stoughton Avenue on the city's East Side, according to the Cleveland Police Department.

On Tuesday at around 8:19 a.m., officers were call to 9711 Stoughton Avenue for “trouble unknown,” police said.

When officers arrived, EMS was preparing to transport the male victim to the hospital for injuries to his head and face.

The homicide unit was notified because of suspected violence involved.

The male victim in his 40s was pronounced dead at the Cleveland Clinic, police said.

This matter remains under investigation.
