CLEVELAND — A Cleveland man has pleaded guilty to shooting a Cleveland police officer and another man in 2018.

Jonathan Chambers and the 37-year-old man got into an argument on Nov. 3, 2018 in a driveway near East 121st Street and Cromwell Avenue, according to court documents.

Chambers shot the man in the neck.

When officers arrived, Chambers opened fire on their cruiser with a machine gun, striking one of the officers twice in both legs, police said. Chambers then fled the scene.

Chambers was arrested later that evening.

He pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder with a seven-year firearm specification and two counts of attempted murder with a three-year firearm specification.

Chambers will be sentenced on April 8. He faces between 13 to 46 years in prison.
