CLEVELAND — Authorities have arrested a man who was allegedly involved in a hit-skip crash that injured a 9-year-old girl last month in Cleveland.
According to Cleveland police, Luis Rodriguez, 19, was arrested Thursday by detectives. He is facing charges of aggravated vehicular assault and stopping after accidents.
The girl, who is a third-grade student at Waverly Elementary School, was getting off the school bus on Feb. 20 when a vehicle drove around the bus and struck her.
Authorities said that the girl was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center and treated for a broken leg.
Police are still looking for a second individual who was seen on security cameras after the vehicle used in the hit-skip was ditched.
