Cleveland police investigate seven shooting, two stabbings within 12 hours

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating seven shootings and two stabbings that happened within a 12 hour span.

Officers responded to the area near East 93rd Street and Miles Avenue around 9 p.m. where they found a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound, according to authorities.

EMS transported the man to University Hospitals where we later died from his injuries, police said. The medical examiner later identified him as Layzghon Bradley, 20, of Cleveland.

At 10 p.m. a 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his foot in the area of West 130th Street and Puritas Avenue.

At 1:30 a.m. a 20-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his thigh in the 1400 block of West 77th Street.

Police said at 3 a.m. they were called to District where two people were shot and two people were stabbed.

A 32-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and a man in his 30s suffered a gunshot wound to his thigh.

The fight escalated and a 25-year-old man was stabbed in the arm and a 32-year-old man was stabbed in the head, police said.

At 5 a.m. a 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his hand in the area of East 123rd Street and Harvard Avenue.

A 40-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen in the 1400 block of East 40th street at 6 a.m.

There have been 20 shootings since July 4.
