CLEVELAND — A 12-year-old boy was shot in the face in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood Friday afternoon, according to Cleveland police.
The boy was shot in the area of West 25th and Division Avenue around 12:13 p.m., police said.
After being shot, the boy was transported to a nearby hospital by private vehicle. He sustained severe facial injuries, according to police.
Detectives are working on leads but no arrests have been made at this time, police said.
