Cleveland police seek public's help in identifying driver in June hit-skip

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a vehicle who struck a pedestrian and fled the scene in June.

On June 9 around 3 a.m., a 41-year-old man was crossing the street at 2309 St. Clair Avenue when he was struck by a white Chevrolet Corvette, according to police.

After striking the man, the Corvette continued eastbound down St. Clair Avenue, police said.

The sex, age and race of the driver is unknown, according to police.

Police said the vehicle involved should have heavy front end damage, including hood, windshield and roof damage.

The man who was struck was taken to a nearby hospital following the incident, where he was treated and released.
