CLEVELAND — A search for a missing person was initiated on the waters near Whiskey Island Friday evening, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Crews were called to the 2800 block of Whiskey Island Drive to search for the person, who went missing near the Cuyahoga River and Whiskey Island area.
Cleveland police called the Coast Guard for assistance with the search. A boat and helicopter were deployed to help with the search.
The Coast Guard said that a body has not been spotted at this time and their efforts remain a search rather than a recovery at this point.
