A woman who called police and reported that she found a child wandering alone on Cleveland's east side Sunday night was actually the girl's babysitter, according to court documents.

A court summons obtained by News 5 Tuesday states that 18-year-old Brieaina Cook was the girl's regular babysitter and was babysitting the girl at the time of the incident.

Cuyahoga County sent out an alert Sunday night, saying officials needed help identifying a toddler who was found on the porch of a vacant home on East 78th Street.

The child's mother contacted police a short time later, saying the child was hers.

According to court documents, Cook is charged with falsification.
