An RTA bus shelter at East 116th Street and Shaker Boulevard was destroyed in a crash early Tuesday morning.
The driver who hit the shelter told newsnet5.com he was driving northbound on East 116th Street when a woman driving westbound on Shaker Boulevard ran a red light and crashed into him.
The driver told newsnet5.com that he was thankful no one was inside the shelter at the time.
The woman was transported by Cleveland EMS with minor injuries.
RTA maintenance was at the scene just after 3:15 a.m. assessing the damage.
