The driver of a Cadillac Escalade took off in another car after rolling the SUV onto its side at the intersection of Broadway and Miles avenues early Friday.
A witness said the driver made an illegal turn onto Broadway from the Miles Avenue ramp just after 3 a.m. Friday.
According to the witness, the SUV was going about 10 mph when it jumped a small wall and rolled onto its side.
The witness said a few drivers stopped and kicked out the windows of the SUV, helping the driver get out.
Once he was freed, the driver jumped into one of the cars that stopped and took off, leaving the Cadillac in the middle of the road.
Cleveland police towed the SUV. Officials said it was not reported stolen.
