A Garfield Heights woman who was reported missing nearly a month ago was found dead in a vacant home over the weekend.
The family of Natalie Perez told newsnet5.com Sunday that the body found in a vacant East 143rd Street home Saturday belonged to the 21-year-old. The Garfield Heights Police Department also confirmed the identity.

Family and friends gathered at the home for a candlelight vigil Sunday evening to remember the young woman.
Perez had been missing since April 6 after she left her Blythin Road home and never returned.
A group of teenagers found Perez's body while cutting through the yard of the home around 2 p.m. Saturday.
