High rise apartment fire breaks out in CLE

A fire broke out in the Edgewater Landing high rise apartments on Cleveland's west side around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Cleveland Fire reported. 

Officials said the fire started in a fifth-floor apartment at Edgewater Landing, located in the 1300 block of West Boulevard, and spread to a nearby apartment. 

Several other apartments were damaged by water as firefighters extinguished the flames, officials said.

No one was injured, officials reported, but 70 people were evacuated from the building. 

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
