CLEVELAND — Firefighters were at Cleveland Public Library's Lorain Avenue branch after a fire broke out early Wednesday morning.
A few small flames could be seen shooting out of the roof of the branch.
According to Cleveland Fire, a light pole fell on top of the roof and caused the fire.
No injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for the library released the following statement:
"Early this morning, Cleveland Public Library received news that there was a fire at our Lorain Branch. Cleveland Fire Department was on the scene and the fire has been extinguished. The Library is working to understand the cause and assess the damage."
The branch was under construction.
Lorain Avenue was closed at West 83rd Street while crews investigate.
