A known member of the Heartless Felons gang and the person responsible for a series of violent carjackings in the Cleveland area two years ago has been sentenced to prison for murder.

According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, 24-year-old Antowine Palmer was sentenced to spend the next 15 years in prison for the murder of a rival gang member back in 2015.

Palmer pleaded to involuntary manslaughter and discharging a firearm into habitation after he shot 22-year-old Arthur Davis III in 2015, authorities said.

According to the prosecutor's office, both Palmer and Davis were members of the same gang but part of feuding sects within. Davis drove into Palmer's territory and Palmer and an unknown man opened fire on Davis while he was inside his car, killing him.

Palmer went on to terrorize the Tremont neighborhood with a series of carjackings.

Last week Palmer was sentenced to 14 ½ years in prison for his role in those crimes.

Prosecutors said he will serve the prison sentences consecutively.
