Homicide investigation underway after man shot on Thursday in Cleveland dies

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department is now investigating a homicide after a man who was shot on Thursday succumbed to his injuries.

According to authorities, the shooting happened around 10 p.m. near East 143rd Street and Aspinwall Avenue in Cleveland’s South Collinwood neighborhood.

Responding officers located a 28-year-old man inside a vehicle who had been shot multiple times. The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died, authorities said.

The man’s identity has not been released.

No arrests have been made.

The matter remains under investigation.
