Due to the requests from the media asking for access to the grand jury transcripts from the Tamir Rice fatal shooting case, the name of the judge who oversaw that group of jurors has been released.
Judge Nancy R. McDonnell was identified as the judge who can receive the motions being made requesting the transcript release. The Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas said grand jury transcript are not public record and can only be released by a judge's order.
