CLEVELAND — Over the weekend, initiatives to support small businesses were celebrated. The one many have probably heard of is Small Business Saturday, but Sunday was focused on a specific type of small business.

Small Brewery Sunday is an initiative to help support local breweries, which are very popular in Cleveland.

Local beermakers have reached out to the community to help, especially as the COVID-19 impacts their business.

"With COVID and everything, business is slower. A lot of people are just getting beer off the store shelves, which is great, but at the end of the day, our taprooms are what keeps us in business," said Richrd Skains, owner of Working Class Brewery.

Skains said that business there is down 50%.

At Working Class Brewery, during the week things are slower, so Skains suggests those looking to support local breweries while staying safe amid the pandemic visit during those nights.
