CLEVELAND — Two Northeast Ohio restaurants have been announced as semifinalists for a James Beard Award, according to Eater.
Larder Delicatessen and Bakery in Cleveland is a semifinalist for the Best New Restaurant award. The restaurant and bakery is located at 1455 West 29th Street in Cleveland. Larder is an Eastern European delicatessen that serves a variety of food including knish, pastrami and chocolate babka.
Chef Jill Vedda is a semifinalist for the Best Chef Great Lakes award. Vedda is the owner of Salt in Lakewood, which is located at 17625 Detroit Avenue. Salt is a restaurant specializing in composed small plates.
