Interstate 90 experienced major delays from Mentor to Madison due to heavy snow squalls on Thursday night, according to ODOT.
The snow squalls reduced visibility and the entire interstate was covered in snow. Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers and ODOT worked to keep the interstate passable and to help stranded motorists.
Motorists were asked to avoid travel if possible and to allow more time for travel. If caught in a snow squall, ODOT also suggests using emergency flashers and create a larger following distance.
