Officials say a man crashed into a Cleveland police car and then attacked three officers early Sunday morning.

Police say 33-year-old Michael Williams was driving a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck westbound on Euclid Avenue when he struck a police car that was parked at Wickford Road for the investigation of another crash.

The truck hit the right side of the cruiser — which was occupied by an officer — causing both vehicles to spin and crash into each other a second time.

Police said Williams appeared to be intoxicated and became combative, resisting arrest.

The officer in the vehicle was treated for a concussion at University Hospitals.

According to police, a total of three officers suffered minor injuries in the scuffle with the suspect.
