CLEVELAND — A warrant has been issued for a 38-year-old man accused of raping and robbing a woman behind a Cleveland bar, according to court records.

Robert L. Gaines Jr., 38, is facing rape, theft and misuse of credit card charges after he allegedly raped a woman behind The Clevelander Bar & Grill, 834 Huron Rd East, on Oct. 25, 2018.

Gaines is not in police custody. On Wednesday, authorities issued a warrant for his arrest.

The woman woke up after she passed out behind the Clevelander Bar, court documents said.

The woman came to police with bloody knees and a scratch from her upper thigh to her stomach, court records state.

Her credit card was stolen and was allegedly used by Gaines at a BP gas station and Jack's Casino.
