CLEVELAND — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that happened Friday evening in Cleveland’s West Boulevard neighborhood.
The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 9700 block of Denison Avenue.
When police arrived, officers found the man on the ground with a gunshot wound to his torso. Officers administered first aid until EMS arrived. The man, identified as Kellen May, 29, was then transported to a nearby hospital and later died, according to the medical examiner.
A witness told police that the man was walking down the street when an unknown person shot him and then drove off in a light-colored SUV, authorities said.
No additional information has been released.
The shooting remains under investigation.
