CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a homicide that killed a man in his 30s and injured another victim after a group of males wearing ski masks entered a home on Sunday and shot the victims.

On Sunday at around 7:15 p.m., officers responded to the 12400 block of Auburdale Avenue for “trouble unknown,” as stated in the police report.

Police were flagged down by a female who said someone had been shot. Police entered a residence on Auburdale Avenue and found two males who had been shot.

Officers used their trauma kits to assist the victims until EMS arrived. Both victims were taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.

One of the victims, a 39-year-old man identified as Kevin King, of Cleveland, was pronounced dead after he suffered gunshot wounds to the head and chest, according to police.

The second victim, a male in his 60s who was shot in the leg, remains confined at the hospital.

On scene police learned that multiple men entered the home and shot the victims before fleeing the area.

Police said no arrests have been made.

This is the 117th homicide of the year, according to police.
