Police: Man fatally shot at East 26th and St. Clair in Cleveland

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating a homicide at the corner of East 26th Street and St. Clair Avenue.

The shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday morning near the Union Club Tavern.

Cleveland EMS said they took a 31-year-old man to University Hospitals in critical condition.

Cleveland police confirmed the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Officers learned the victim was outside of the Union Club Bar when he got into an argument with an unknown person.

Police said the suspect fled the scene.
