A man was shot outside of the Epic Lounge on Harvard Avenue, police reported.
According to police, on Monday around 2:30 a.m. officers responded to the Epic Lounge, located at 17322 Harvard Ave., for a man who was reported shot.
When officers arrived, they said they were told the victim left in a private car.
Police found two shell casings outside of the establishment. Police said bar employees stated the incident occurred outside and it was a drug deal gone wrong. They told police no cameras inside the bar worked.
Officers traveled to SouthPoint Hospital where they located the victim, identified as 25-year-old William Simmons.
Simmons told police he was approached from behind and grabbed. He took off running and was then shot in the leg.
Simmons did not provide a description of the suspect.
