A 20-year-old man was shot after a fight with a juvenile inside a Cleveland recreation center Tuesday evening.

Cleveland police officers responded to the Lonnie Burten Rec Center at East 46th Street and Outhwaite Avenue around 5 p.m. where they found a man with a gunshot wound.

Cleveland police said the man was shot after an altercation with a 14-year-old inside the recreation center.

The fight reportedly turned physical when the shooting victim slapped the teen.

After the fight, the teen's older brother allegedly got involved and shot the 20-year-old.

The victim, identified as Antonio Savon Dulaney, 20, of Cleveland, was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. He sustained gunshot wounds to the chest, buttocks, and legs.

"It's the wild, wild West," said Sharelle Underwood, a mother of four who grew up in the Outhwaite Homes, a part of the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. "This violence has got to stop."

While detectives investigated, dozens of children ready to play their own basketball game inside the recreation center circled the crime scene.
