Man, teen stabbed near community center on city's East Side

CLEVELAND — A man and a teenager were hospitalized after being stabbed near the Lonnie Burten Center Pool Saturday afternoon, according to Cleveland police.

Officers said they received a call around 12 p.m. for reports of a male stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old man and an 18-year-old man with stab wounds, according to police.

EMS transported both victims to MetroHealth. The 18-year-old victim was taken in stable condition while the 24-year-old victim was taken in critical condition, according to EMS.

Police said both victims now remain in stable condition.

After further investigation, officers learned the incident originated at East 46th Street and Scovill Avenue, police said.

A suspect has been identified and police confirmed they are working to obtain a warrant.
