A Cleveland man is accused of holding a revolver to the head of the mother of his child and playing a Russian roulette-style game while their 2-year-old daughter slept nearby.

Clifton B. Mays, 42, has been charged with domestic violence, endangering children, kidnapping and aggravated menacing, according to a police report.

The report states that on March 10, Mays became upset when he looked at some Facebook posts on the victim's phone. The woman told authorities he punched her and put a black revolver to her head.

After he placed the gun against the woman's head, Mays used it to play a Russian roulette-style game. Mays also allegedly placed a shotgun in the victim's mouth and threatened to kill the woman and her children, authorities said.

Their 2-year-old child was asleep on a nearby bed at the time.

Mays assaulted the woman throughout the night and the following day. Mays only stopped after the woman convinced him to take her to the hospital, the report said.

Mays has a prior history of domestic violence, according to police.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
