According to the Aurora Police Department, John Montello, the law director for the city of Maple Heights, was arrested on April 9 for allegedly operating his vehicle under the influence.
Maple Heights Mayor Annette Blackwell said her office had no further information regarding the investigation.
"We are, however, relieved and thankful that no one was harmed," Blackwell said in a statement sent to newsnet5.com. "Please know that this incident has been addressed internally in accordance with our own policies and procedures while fully cooperating with the Aurora Police Department."
Blackwell said Montello's suspension went into effect on April 10.
