Medical examiner identifies 3 people killed in wrong-way crash on State Route 76

CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the three people killed in a wrong-way crash on State Route 76 Saturday morning.

The crash happened on State Route 76 near I-480 at around 4 a.m.

The three people who died have been identified by the medical examiner as:

Beth Ann Christiansen, 33, of Painesville
Nicole Marie Coots, 26, of Cleveland
James Stradford, 31, of Cleveland

According to Cleveland EMS, Beth Christiansen and Nicole Coots were pronounced dead at the scene. A 25-year-old woman, 23-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were injured in the crash and transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition.

Cleveland police said the incident was a wrong-way crash. One of the persons who died was a driver of one of the vehicles involved and the other person who died was a passenger in the other vehicle.
